received happy, happy news yesterday

sms-ed a 'hi, how are u?' msg to Ami in Indonesia
turns out, she got hitched end of last year
she is now five and a half months preggers
Imel, on the other hand, is eight months preggers
both are well on the way to becoming mommies
so, so happy for them both

evening meet up with Melbourne mates after tuition
wanted to watch da vinci but seats weren't good
eventually, we decided on Poseidon
it was surprisingly edge-gripping and enjoyable for me

dinner-ed at Food Culture and Maghrib-ed at TM for me
yes, there is a solat corner at TM, albeit illegally
i've always known it was there but wasn't sure of location
thanks to mate Wan for the inside info
the girls found the find to be interesting

window-shopped while waiting for movie to start
finally got my hands on da vinci the book
shall be this week's read before watching it during the weekend

figured about time it gets a change
can't recall the last i changed
and since the sister offered, why not?

the kids are having their english paper 2 now
kinda nervous for those whom i set the paper for
hopefully they won't find it too hard

am rooting for Umair p1 as well, a kinesthic learner
can't sit still and has short attention span
but he's bright and catches on real fast
during the test i gave him, had to keep going
'Umair are you doing your work?'

heard he came up tops for his Imlak
with today being the fourth day of written paper
he may have gotten used to the exam routine
and perhaps sits still when doing his paper

watched 'Paradise Now' with the jetsetting cousin on Tue
would love to visit that country someday
dusk prayers at Masjid Bencoolen
which was conveniently located near The Cathay
and Fig and Olive, where we had dinner

wanted to refresh myself on da vinci
but both library and rental bookshop are out on the novel
hopefully, my expectations won't make me get disappointed with the movie

dad fetches and sends me
to and from school almost everyday
on his way to and back from work

the kids of course see me
when i alight at the school gate

on one particular day
while i busy at the front of the class
explaining to my darling P1s
about animals and their young
lil Aniq suddenly exclaimed
"teacher! this morning i saw you one!
your grandfather send you right!"

i had to quickly turn around
and pretend to write something on the board
in order not to laugh in front of them

another time, a P3 girl Syafiah asked
"teacher, you got boyfriend or not?"
said no and she asked another question
"then who send you in the morning one?"

yup, they were both referring to the same person
my oldest boyfriend, dear old daddy haha!

they may be charming and always make me laugh
but having to mark their compositions
is something i absolutely dread
and constantly procrastinate from doing

don't make me mark any more compos puh-leaassee!
