i think i've been in this comfort zone of mine far too long

received a call at twenty past midnight last night/early this morning
it did past my mind that he'll be leaving soon
and god knows if i will ever hear from him again
coz he has my number but i do not haf his, having cancelled his line
so it was a pleasant surprise to haf heard from him
made the call from the airport, waiting for his flight which was at 3am
touched and grateful he bothered to call and keep in touch

we bumped into each other frequently at the campus musollah
one of us termed ourselves 'hantu-hantu musollah'
because each time pergi musollah, mesti ada muka-muka kita
kalau tak pon, at least ada our stuffs left behind there by us
to find out if we are in school or not
all anyone has to do is just take a peek into the musollah

after a year and a half of doing her Masters in Information Management and Systems
she's going back to Padang for good
she made a short visit to sg on her way home to Padang

Ami arrived on Thursday night
spent Friday showing her around town
sights of Orchard Road, Wisma and Far East
lunched at Magic Wok
dzuhur was at al-falah

it was there that i bumped into Zul
that idiot freaked me out
i came down the stairs to be greeted by
'eh lyna, aku ingat ko dah balik!!'
'aku ingat ko yang dah balik!'
'aku ingat ko dah balik, sebab tuh aku tak contact ko!'
'ko kata ko balik seminggu lepas raya kape, asal masih kat sini?'
turns out, he was supposed to go back a week after 'Eid
but there was no one to guide the new intake
so he's been given the job of guiding the newbies
he'll be leaving on the 24th insya'allah
and again i parted without asking what is it he was taking at Syria
*slaps forehead*

after that more window-shopping for us at Taka
we're both not much of a shopper
soon got bored and headed for Boat Quay
plan was to take photos there, asar and maghrib at Maulana
meet up with Lini after maghrib
and walk to Satay Club for dinner

as it is, the weather wasn't on our side
started to rain, so there goes our photo-taking plan
took shelter at Maulana, and it was still raining after we did our asar
she was too full from drinking too much while at Magic Wok
so much so that she couldn't finish her food
which is why she soon became hungry again
so we decided to grab a bit at McDonald's
i tried the grilled chicken foldover for the first time
a bit like the common kebabs back in Melbourne me thinks
only that they use chicken patties instead

Lini called us while we were at McDonald's
asking what's the plan now since it was raining
decided to meet at Tampines instead
dragged Lini to my place and we had a good catch up with each other

Saturday morning, with help from Ami's cousin-in-law
drove up to Esplanade for more pictures
reached the airport around 12.30pm and she checked in by 1 plus

it's been great having her over
who knows when we will meet again

praises be to Him

results were out some 2 weeks back
but one of them was held back
due to some ban thingy or other that's going on with the faculty and the Uni
was expecting a bleak outcome for the one that's held back

alhamdullillah
i've still managed to maintain my average for that particular unit
pleasantly surprised and pleased

contemplating constantly on choice of date
she voiced it out, and that sort of determined it
after 'Eid Adha it will be then

they're ghaeeb, so can't really put much into them
or read much into them for that matter
still, can't help but wonder if it means anything though

put together a 49 seater bus
26 people including a bunch of immature ORD-ed guys
and what do you get?

the hightlight for me was meeting this lil bugger here at Zawiyah's

short holiday getaway to KL with the family
Sat thru Tues
main purpose was shopping of course
Jalan Masjid India being the main destination
drove up on Sat afternoon and reached there at night


we stayed here during our trip
a bit of confusion with the rooms
pretty crappy service from staff

attacked Jalan Masjid India the next day
for us gerls anyway.. ehehe...
bought kains, tudungs and Hindi VCDs too of course
Dad and Bro dropped us off and wandered around themselves
they checked out the much hyped KLCC


had dinner here at night
buffet dinner
the place was nice!
great atmosphere, even had performances
and food was gooooddd!
lotsa variety, kampong food included
Dad was in heaven while Mom was reallyyy proud of herself
for telling this angmoh guy to try out the satay
heh

we brunched at KLCC on Monday morning
Bread Talk there was halal so of course sis and i had to splurge
and us gerls again headed for Jalan Masjid India again after that
to buy belen-belen stuffs
Dad and Bro headed for Bukit Bintang Plaza
Bro had the time of his life riding the rides at the indoor theme park
albeit alone, which he didn't mind at all
at times macam kesian pulak adek ako nie sorang
buat benda mostly sendiri
Mom and Dad should have given him a playmate
when he was about 3yrs or something... heh..
dinner was at the hotel's own restaurant
authentic Thai food cooked by authentic Thai cooks
ikan bakar, tom yam and the works
we were pleased with the quality of the food
coz usually these type of food are not cooked that well by hotel cooks
the tom yam was especially spicy and great

checked out after dzuhur the next day
and reached home not in time enough for PCK... hehe...
oh well
